Aaron James Byrd, 24, of Statesville, N.C., passed away Friday, February 5, 2021. Born in Iredell County on May 31, 1996, he was the son of James Andrew Byrd and Brenda Sue Seamon Byrd.

Aaron was a 2014 graduate of South Iredell High School, where he played baseball. He enjoyed football, basketball, playing Xbox, and growing flowers. He was one that never met a stranger.

Aaron loved his family and friends, and will be missed by all that knew him.

In addition to his parents, he leaves behind his sister, Amanda Renee Clark; his brother, Evan Byrd; half-sister, April Settelmeyer; grandparents, Brenda Waller O’Neal and Bruce and Virginia Byrd; niece, Kaylee Renee Clark and nephew, Zander Jayce Clark.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
