Anthony Lamont Reid, 44, of 1010 8th Street, Statesville, N.C., was born in Iredell County on February 23, 1977, and was the son of Larry Gene Reid and Sandra Torrence Reid. He passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at his residence.

Anthony’s daughter, Shanika Dione Reid, preceded him in death.

He attended Iredell County Schools and worked at ASMO Industries in Statesville as a machine operator.

Anthony leaves to cherish the memories of his life, in addition to his parents, Larry Gene Reid and Sandra Torrence Reid, two daughters, Anari Woods and J’Aliyah Reid; one brorher, Larry Gene Reid Jr.; three aunts, Cynthia Torrence, Phyllis Stinson and Margaret Reid; one uncle, Willie Reid; special friends, including McKenna Keaton; and a host of other relatives, and friends.

A memorial of his life will be held at Martin Luther King Jr. Park, Statesville, on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 3 pm.
