Mr. Brian Keith “Coby” Wilson, 34, was born in Iredell County on April 13, 1987, and was the son of Beverly Ferguson Mattox and Brian Keith Wilson Sr. He departed this life unexpectedly on Sunday, June 13, 2021.

Coby attended Iredell-Statesville Schools. He had a great personality, enjoyed life and shared his beautiful smile with his family. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Bertha Ferguson, and Wade Wilson and C.W. Wilson.

He leaves to cherish the memory of his life his father, Brian Keith Wilson Sr.; his mother, Beverly Ferguson Mattox of the home; his son, Brian Keith Wilson III of Statesville; his daughter, Makayla Bailey of Statesville; his sister, Ashley Wilson of Statesville; his uncles, David Wilson, Carl (Chris) Ferguson, Clyde Ferguson and Scotland Ferguson; his aunts, Vanessa Cuthrell, Beatrice Scott, Elaine (Jimmy) Bowan, Marilyn (Herren) Caple, Bertha (Nate) Woods, Gladys Jackson White, Annette Rogers, Lolita Rogers and Katherine Alvarez; a niece, Talia Bostic; great nieces, Jalayla Lackey Carson, Paris Smith and Lundyn Smith; special cousin, Tameka Ferguson; and a host of other cousins, other relatives, neighbors and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Monday, June 21, 2021, at 2 p.m. at The Mary B. Bigham Memorial Chapel of Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Reverend John Phifer will officiate and burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery.

Keith will remain at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home where members of the family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2 p.m., but will assemble at the residence at other times.
