Brian Keith Swicegood, 47, of Hiddenite, N.C., left this world to be with Jesus on Sunday, April 11, 2021, at his home. Brian was born in Statesville, N.C., on September 20,1973, to the late George David Swicegood Sr. and Peggy Sue Benge Swicegood of the home. He graduated from Alexander Central in 1993 and married Jill Harris in 1995. He was a self-employed mechanic and a member of Crestview Baptist Church.

In his early twenties, Brian started racing cars on the weekends at Antioch speedway and other local tracks. Like his dad, he loved piddling with things. He was a jack of all trades, and he could make and do anything he put his mind to.

In addition to his father, he was proceeded in death by a sister, Joanne Wall.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Ethan Swicegood and Evan Swicegood of Bethlehem; two daughters, Kelsey Bowman of Conover and Tessa Mckee of Taylorsville; two brothers, David Swicegood Jr.and husband Richard of Henderson, N.C., and Heath Swicegood and wife Chastity of Statesville; three sisters, Debbie Shoe and husband Randy of Mooresville, Tammy Stowe and husband Johnny of Stanley, and Haley Cowles and husband Brent of Stony Point; and a grandchild, Noah Price.

A private graveside service will be conducted on Sunday, April 18, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Crestview Baptist Church cemetery with Pastor Lloyd Jarvis officiating. Chapman Funeral Home asks that all follow CDC guidelines.No formal visitation is scheduled.
