Mr. Calvin “Sonny” Russell Clark, 70, of Statesville, N.C., passed away unexpectedly on May 3, 2021. He was born in Iredell County August 20, 1950, and was the son of the late Calvin Clark and Minnie Pearl.

He was married to Barbara Bines Clark, who survives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Bines; a grandson, Micheal Bines Jr.; a sister, Brenda Jordan; and a special friend, Bell Peet.

He leaves to cherish the memory of his life, in addition to his wife Barbara of the home, his children, Dorothy (Ronnie) Imes, Paul Bines and Micheal Bines, all of Statesville; sister: Katie (Bill) Wilson of Troutman; grandchildren, Tim Bines, Monique Bines, Brittany Barker, O’Bryant Bines, DeAngelo Barker, Jarrod McDonald, Lakeitha Satterfield, Niyah Walls, Adrian Wilson, Jaliscious Wilson, Deandre Culbreath and A’Niyah Bines, all of Statesville; twenty-three great grandchildren; special great grand, Nassya Bines; special friends, Robin Cowan, Robert Stewart, and James Clark, all of Troutman, and Conrad Wilson of Winston-Salem; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Saturday, May 8, 2021, at 1 p.m at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, Statesville, N.C. Pastor Deborah Graham will officiate with burial to follow in the Belmont Cemetery.
