Charles Glenn Cook, 77, of Statesville, N.C., died Thursday, August 26, 2021, at the Gordon Hospice House. He was born in Iredell County on November 23, 1943, to the late Walter Ivey Cook Sr. and Ruby Caroline Bolick Cook.

Charles served his country in the U.S. Navy and retired from Milstead Oil Company after 40 years. His favorite pastime was mechanical work on cars. He also enjoyed hunting, golfing, carpentry, and shooting pool.

Those left to cherish his memory are a daughter, Amanda Lanette Cook and her husband Jeffrey Michael Woodard; a son, Chad Cory Cook; two brothers, Walter Cook Jr. and Jerry Cook (Carolyn); two sisters, Brenda Scott (Wayne) and Bonnie Douglas (Michael), three nephews, Eddie Cook, James Cook, and Shelton Scott; and one niece, Chasity Warren.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
