David Michael Warren, 65, of Statesville, N.C., died Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at the Gordon Hospice House. He was born in McDowell County on February 2, 1955, to the late Eugene Warren and Lilian Frazier Warren.

David had worked in stained glass and upholstery. He loved working with his hands and was very crafty in making things, He took great pride in his work. He was an outdoorsman and loved to go fishing, especially with his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory are three daughters, Kristen Warren, Ashley Warren, and Keisha Warren; seven grandchildren, Julian Ferrell, Skylar Ferrell, Ella Ottone, McKenzie Warren, Annabell Warren, Corey A. Randol and Lillian Randol.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 1 p.m. at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lynn Lepley officiating. The service will be live streamed from the website beginning promptly at 1 p.m. He will lie in state on Friday, February 5, 2021, at Nicholson Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The family asks that everyone wear masks and observe social distancing. A private graveside will be held later.

Memorials may be given to Fairmount United Methodist Church, 266 Fairmont Road, Statesville, NC 28625..
