Mr. Dennis Kale Turner, 59, of 914 Absher Road, Statesville, N.C., was born in Iredell County on March 15, 1962, and was the son of the late Clarence Burton Chambers and Rosie Mae Turner. He departed this life on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Maple Leaf Nursing Home.
He attended Unity High School and was a member of Greater New Mt. Olive Holiness Church. He loved movies, especially horror movies. In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by his girlfriend, Doris Faye Wasson; a child, Dennis Turner Jr.; a stepbrother, Clarence Jones; aunts and uncles, Minnie Sharpe, Annie White, Forrest White, Norris Sharpe, Sr. Thelma Pearson and Richard Pearson; and grandparents, Sena Mae Chambers, Lonnie Chambers, Beulah Turner and Haywood Turner.
He leaves to cherish the memory of his life one brother, Anthony (Tricia) Chambers of Statesville; aunts and uncles, Dorothy (William) Summers of Harmony, Essie Nichols Steele, Henry Steele, Virginia Campbell, Henry Campbell, Sarah Daye, and Fred Daye; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at 3 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Pastor Carolyn Morrison will officiate and Rev. Dale White will eulogize.
Members of the family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 2:30 until 3 p.m., but at other times will assemble at the residence at his brother, Anthony (Tricia) Chambers, 392 Mt. Bethel Road, Harmony.
