Edward Glover Hart, 73, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. He was born December 11, 1947, in Washington, D.C., to the late Bill Hart Sr. and Helen Hart.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Hart; a son, Kenneth Hicks Jr.; and sister, Nita Stewart. Edward served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
Edward enjoyed saltwater fishing, cooking and baking. He was also a Southern Baptist preacher. He was a longtime administrator for many assisted living facilities before his retirement.
He is survived by his daughter, Amy Hart (Bryan); brothers, Bill Hart Jr. (Wilma), Jim Hart (LaDonna) and Mike Hart (Janet); sister, Lena Merle Parker (John); grandchildren, Brandon, Kenny and Eddy Hicks and Jamie Perdue (Matt).
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 18, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Rev. John Parker and Rev. Bill Hart, Jr. officiating. For those who are unable to attend the service, you may go to the following link for the live stream
