Elizabeth Jane Holland Sweet, 64, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2021, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C. Jane was born October 1, 1957, in Iredell County to the late R.B. Holland and Elizabeth Pauline Rash Holland. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded In death by two brothers, Joe Holland and Jerry Holland.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Gary Wilburn Sweet of the home; one son, Josh Sweet, and wife Virginia of the home; two daughters, Misty Honeycutt, and husband Jason of Union Grove, and Elizabeth Sweet of Statesville; two brothers, Bob Holland, and wife Connie of Statesville, and R.G. Holland of Nevada; two sisters, Betty Ann Bennett, and husband David of Statesville, and Becky Richardson and husband, Buster of Statesville.

Most of all Jane loved spending time with her ten grandchildren, Austin Martinez and wife Caroline, Wesley Padgett, Alex Sweet, Kloey Grant, Steven Grant, Lawson Honeycutt, Maysen Honeycutt, Holten Grant, Joshua Sweet Jr., and Elijah Sweet; and one great-grandchild, Harper Martinez.

Jane had a special nurse, Norma Gatton of Palliative Care, that the family would like to say a special thank you.
