Elwanda Jean Dixon Fox, 75, of Statesville, N.C., passed away Friday, September 3, 2021, following a lengthy illness at Forsyth Medical Center.

Mrs. Fox was born December 10, 1945, in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late James A. Dixon and Lillian Campbell Dixon Mabe. She attended Scotts School and on August 4, 1962, she was married to the late John Ross Fox, who passed away May 20, 2020. She was a lover of all animals, especially her dogs and cats, and she enjoyed playing Bingo.

She is survived by three sons, Craig Fox (Kim) of Statesville, Eric Fox of Statesville, and James Fox of Statesville; one sister, Carolyn Roten of Statesville; seven grandchildren, Sara Gregory, Shelby Fox, Erica Shaver, Jonathon Fox, Daniel Fox, Heather Fox, and Kaitlyn Fox; and two great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Fox was preceded in death by an infant son, Mark, and a sister, Linda Key.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Troutman Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Hill officiating. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
