Mr. Fredrick Bernard Turner, 48, of 1113 S. Meeting Street, Statesville, N.C., was born in Iredell County on July 27, 1972, and was the son of Paul Irvin Sharpe and the late Hester Corrie Lee Whiteside Turner. He departed this life unexpectedly on July14, 2021.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sherwin Turner Ramsey; his stepfather, Willie Turner Sr.; paternal grandparents, Mary Sharpe and Paul Sharpe; and his uncles, Ronnie Sharpe and Franklin Sharpe.

He was a graduate of Statesville High School. He had a great personality. He loved music and socializing with his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish the memory of his life his father, Paul Sharpe of Columbia, Md.; his brothers, Willie Turner Jr., Alan Jerome Turner, Harvey Lee (Natalie) Turner and Sherwood Turner; his sisters, Mae Frances Summers, Cynthia (James) Jones and Rhontonda (Steven) Hunter; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Saturday, July 24, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Pastor Hunter will officiate, and Pastor Tewanna Myers will eulogize with burial to follow in the Belmont Cemetery.
