George “GB” Bruce Westmoreland III, 74, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at his residence.

He was born on June 19, 1947, in Mooresville to the late George and Margaret Beaver Westmoreland. Mr. Westmoreland was owner and operator of Mid-South Auto Sales in Mooresville. He enjoyed muscle cars and fast cars and going to country music and comedy shows. GB was a very giving man and was a member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church in Mooresville.

He is survived by his sons, Tony Westmoreland and fiancée Tania McRoberts and Gary Westmoreland and wife Shirley; brother, Kent Westmoreland and wife Leslie; mother of his children, Brenda Westmoreland; and grandchildren, Mason Westmoreland and Gavin Westmoreland.

A Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 24, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
