Gerry Lou Duncan Scott, 86, of Statesville, N.C., passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Autumn Care of Statesville.
Mrs. Scott was born May 21, 1935, in Statesville and was the daughter of the late John Houston Duncan and Tressie Etta Vance Millsaps Duncan. She was a graduate of Central High School and on March 20, 1954, she married Donald Lewis Scott, who survives. She was a lifetime member of Rocky Hill Baptist Church and previously was the No. 2 Mary Kay Consultant in this area. She never met a stranger, loved makeup and clothes and was always put together.
She is survived by three children, Donna Scott of Statesville, Kevin Scott (Betty) of Salisbury, and Lou Ellen Scott of Charlotte; five grandchildren, Scott Carter, Aaron Scott, Tammy Perdue (Eric), Karen Weston, and David Scott (Crystal); one great granddaughter, Makayla Wike; one brother, Randy Duncan (Nancy); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 6, 2021, at Rocky Hill Baptist Church. The family will visit with friends following the service. Burial will be held in the church cemetery.

I agree! Gerry was always put together. I went to Water exercise with Gerry at 5 a.m. fo many years. She was always dressed with makeup and very neat. I was one of her MARY Kay customers. She was a sweet lady and will really be missed. She is well now. GOD bless her family.
