Jack R. “Blackjack” Clemmer, 93, of Mount Ulla, N.C., a long time resident of Mooresville, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Autumn Care of Statesville. He was born on December 19, 1927, in Dallas, N.C., to the late Charles and Lola Rhyne Clemmer.
Mr. Clemmer was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. He grew up on a farm and retired from Western Electric after 30 years. Mr. Clemmer loved golf and worked for the Mallard Head Golf Course in Mooresville, where he ran the Senior’s Golf Group for about 20 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Lambert Clemmer; five brothers; and one sister.
No services will be held at this time.

Jack was a man of few words, but those words were always kind. I met Jack many years ago at Mallard Head and always looked forward to seeing him and his smiling face. See you in the fairways of heaven Jack. RIP friend.
