Jacqueline “Jackie” Burdick Clay, 78, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021.
Jackie was born on June 21, 1943, in Syracuse, N.Y., to the late Leon and Armold Mooney Burdick. She was a retired LPN, having moved from New York to Florida before settling in North Carolina and becoming a member of Mooresville ARP Church. She was a caring mother and Grammie who loved supporting her children and grandchildren’s life events, both big and small. Jackie enjoyed traveling, shopping, and the beach.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two closest cousins, Peter Mooney and Sherry Mooney.
Surviving are her children, Douglas Clay (Bridgette) of LaFayette, N.Y., Steven Clay (Brenda) of Orange City, Fla., Wendy Batley (Kevin) of Mooresville, N.C., and Tracy Gillum (Shiloh) of Concord, N.C.; and several precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel.

Jackie was a resident of Transitional Health Care in Kannapolis where we both lived. She was a loving caring person who was a good friend.
