James Donovan “Jamie” Pope, 52, of Statesville, N.C., died Friday, January 8, 2021. He was born in Iredell County on August 4, 1968, to the late Stephen F. Pope and Judith Beaver Johnson. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Steve Johnson.

Jamie loved motorcycles. He loved riding them and spent most of his career in motorcycle sales. He loved life and never met a stranger.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 21 years, Christy Souther Pope; a son, William Ryder Pope; a daughter, Hannah Victoria Pope; two brothers, Steve Pope (Tina) and Jeff Johnson; and a sister, Stephanie Pope Payne (Darrin).

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, January 16, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Brian Eades officiating.
