James “Jimi” Joseph Finnorn, 39, of Mooresville, N.C., and formerly of Huntsville and Mobile, Ala., passed away at home in his sleep on March 9, 2021. He was born January 29, 1982, in Monroe, La.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Tinsey Druhan; uncles Jimmy and Tater Druhan, and Don Ortego; and his great aunt Kit Geil.
An outgoing and happy person by nature, James was a huge New Orleans Saints fan. (Who dat?) He was an avid fisherman who loved to travel to his family’s home on Dauphin Island, Ala. He loved to play one of his many guitars and was an accomplished artist.
James is survived by his grandfather, James R. Druhan Jr.; his mother, Brew Druhan Hellman (Mark); father, Dick Finnorn (Shirley); his beloved daughter, Alexandra Grace Finnorn, and her mother Holli Broyhill; and beloved son, James Maddox Finnorn, and his mother Madison Elizabeth Parks. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers, Kristin Jenae Myers, Sarah Megan Goodman, Emily Lauren Coleman, Matthew and Madison Hellman, and Steven Landry., along with his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A public church ceremony will be held on June 5, 2021, on Dauphin Island, Ala.
