James Lafayette Holdier, 85, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at his residence. He was born on January 10, 1936, in Sardis, Ga., to the late Abraham and Cordelia Shiver Holdier. Mr. Holdier was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Peninsula Baptist Church in Mooresville.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, June Stevenson Holdier; children, Paul Holdier (Karla), Patricia “Patsy” Case (Benny), and Dianne Vanhoy (Kevin); nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren and one on the way.

There will be a Celebration gathering on Friday, June 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
