On May 18, 2021, after fighting a long battle, Jennifer Leasure gained her wings while surrounded by family and friends.
Jennifer was born on January 19, 1976, to Kenneth and Carol Kinnaman in Natrona Heights, Pa. During her senior year of high school, Jennifer met the love of her life. After graduating from Moniteau High School, Jennifer and Joe began their life together.
Over the next several years, Jennifer and Joe enjoyed traveling, entertaining/vacationing friends and family and spending time at the beach. Jennifer was always up for an adventure, including moving all across the Northeast and Midwest. Her smile could light up a room and her kindness spread wherever she went. Throughout the adventures and the 13 moves, she never met a stranger.
In 2011, she was blessed with the best gift from God, becoming a mom, as she and Joe welcomed Connor into the world. Jennifer was a supermom – from attending every sporting event, volunteering at every school function, and her party-planning expertise, she never missed a beat.
Her infectious smile hid the pain that came in September 2019, when Jennifer was diagnosed with cancer. She was always committed to being an amazing wife, mother and friend even while facing the biggest challenge in her life. Her positivity radiated everyday as her life motto quickly became “Everything is gonna be alright.”
Jennifer was the rock of our family. Throughout her life, she possessed patience, strength, poise and faith even when the challenge became greater. Jennifer never stopped fighting; she was determined and when others may have broken, she stayed strong. She is the example of what resilience and perseverance really look like.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Betty Wagner, and her aunt, Janice Collins.
Jennifer’s infectious smile will live on in memory through her husband Joe, their son Connor and many friends and family.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 24, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
