Mr. Jerry Dean Reese, 69, of Statesville, N.C., departed this life on November 6, 2021, and woke up in the arms of Jesus. He departed with his loving family that adored him by his side. Mr. Reese was born on January 15, 1952, in Roanoke, Va.
Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters that were the light of his life, Christy Quesenberry (Robert) and Vickie Hager (Frank) of Statesville; and two granddaughters that he loved and adored, Lindsey Henderson (Garrett) and Autumn Quesenberry (Matt) of Statesville. Also left to cherish his memory is a very special, dear friend, John Blizzard, of Conover, N.C.
He is proceeded in death by his wife, Judy Reese.
Jerry was a self made man who worked for everything he ever had. He drove a truck for Corner Hutch Furniture of Statesville for many years before starting his own trucking company, Reese’s Delivery, in 1993. He loved trucking and built a very successful trucking business. He also had another love, “his girls” and his family. He loved them so big and they loved him big right back. He loved going on field trips with his girls and making precious memories with them. He was a die hard Republican and if you knew him, you knew this. Jerry Reese did it his way, and we loved everything about him.
A celebration of his life will be Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Redemption Baptist Church, Jennings Road, N.C.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the church. A service will be begin at 4:30 p.m.
