Jerry Wane Boan, 66, of Statesville, N.C., departed this world on June 17, 2021, from Gordon Hospice House in Iredell County.

Jerry was born September 15, 1954, in Augusta, Ga. He was the son of the late Marilyn Ruth (Golage) Brown. In addition to his mother and father, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Boan, and his brothers, Jimmy and Danny.

Jerry worked in the textile industry. He married Evelyn Boan in March of 1991, and he was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church.

Jerry is survived by a daughter, Sharayia Holben (Sterling) of Statesville; and a sister, Sherree Taylor (David) of Georgia.

A graveside service for Jerry will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Society Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Matthew Eades will officiate the service.
