John Edward Shook, 54, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at his home after an extended illness. He was born May 5, 1967, in Iredell County to the late Robert Eugene Shook and Letha Mae Cochran Shook.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Alice Faye Benge.

Survivors include John’s fiancée, Tonia Brooks of the home; one son, Jason Shook of Stony Point; three brothers, Stanley Shook and Jimmy Shook, both of Statesville, and Ray Shook of Lenoir; one sister, Chery Anderson; and one grandchild, Destinee Shook.
