Kathleen Campbell Patterson, 83, of Statesville, N.C., passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. Born in Iredell County on May 15, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Romus Franklin Campbell and Dovie Tayes Campbell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.

Kathleen was a homemaker and an active member of Under His Wings Ministries until her health began to decline. She will be remembered for her wonderful disposition, her cooking, cups of coffee and her love for her family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 67 years, Robert Edward Patterson; children, Bonnie Sue Causey (Bryan), Danny Edward Patterson, David Lee Patterson, Robert Samuel Patterson (Trish), Ronnie Lavon Patterson, Randal Todd Patterson, Tine Gail Haire (Ricky), Eddie Dean Patterson and Donna Kay Graham (Blake).

She is further survived by one sister, Betty McDaniels; twenty-nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, July 22, 2021, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held Friday, July 23, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Under His Wings Ministries, 223 Wilson Street, Statesville, N.C., with Rev. Bryan Causey officiating. Burial will follow at New Life Community Baptist Church Cemetery.
