Linda Sue James Taylor, 75, of Statesville, N.C., passed away Friday, February 12, 2021, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born October 11, 1945, she was the daughter of the late William Howard James and Frances Inez Wall James.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Sebern James Taylor, on April 21, 2016; one sister, Patricia “Pat” Bass; and one brother, Joe James.
Linda retired from Iredell-Statesville Schools after 28 years of service in Child Nutrition. She was a member of Statesville Full Gospel Tabernacle – The Wave, where she was greatly involved in the fellowship hall committee and blessed many as she worshipped in dance.
Linda had a big heart and loved everyone she met. Her smile and laughter would light up the room, and she will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, James Ray Taylor (Paula); daughters, Shelly West (Eddie) and Anita Jordan (Thomas); one brother, Dr. Jeffery James (Tammy); and one sister, Teresa Fox (Charles Campbell).
She is further survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A private family service will be held Monday, February 22, 2020, and she will be laid to rest with her husband at Iredell Memorial Gardens.

A public Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Statesville Full Gospel Tabernacle – The Wave, 135 Village Point Drive, Statesville, N.C.
