Louis Ernest Davis, 85, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at his home. He was born on June 3, 1936, in Montgomery, N.Y., to the late Walter and Veronica Mannix Davis of Walden, N.Y.

Louis was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a carpenter for Schumacher Homes and 30 years for the New York State Correctional System, where he retired in 1993.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Jane Davis, and seven siblings.

He is survived by his daughters, Heidi Lauder, and LuAnn Liseski along with husband Steven; grandchildren, Katelyn, Duncan, and Kieran; brothers and sisters, Harriet of Kentucky, Joseph of New York, Beverly of New York, and Donald of Pennsylvania.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 20, 2021, at St. Therese Catholic Church.
