Margaret Ann Bumgarner, 83, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on July 24, 2021. She was born on December 16, 1937, in Iredell County, N.C., to the late James and Lucy Covington Hager.

Margaret loved to dance with her husband Ray. She was a wonderful seamstress and accomplished cake decorator. She enjoyed visiting the Outer Banks and traveling. She loved to spend time with all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother who always sacrificed for her children and loved them unconditionally.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Bumgarner; and brothers, Bennie, James and Donnie Hager.

She is survived by her children, W. D. Bumgarner (Dee), Louetta Overcash (Max), Tim Bumgarner, and Allen Bumgarner; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Joe (Joann) and David (Ruth) Hager; sister, Phylis (Johnny) Rhinehart; sister-in-laws, Linda Hager, Sylvia Hager, and Jean Fidler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral Service will held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2 to 4 p.m. with Rev. Kevin Hager officiating.
