Matthew Stephen Hendrix, 47, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on September 18, 2021. He was born on June 10, 1974, in Fayetteville, N.C., to the late Dennis and Vicky Morrow Hendrix.

Matt was a graduate of Mooresville High School and was a well-known local musician and accomplished flute player. He was loved by his family and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his brother, Billy Hendrix (Amy); sister, Kellie Craig (Russell); and several nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Stacy Thompson.

A service will be planned at a later date.
