Miya Serenity Rayne Wilson, 7, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on January 7, 2021. She was born on December 12, 2013, in Mooresville to Megan Wilson and Devontrae McPherson.
Miya was a happy 7-year-old girl who liked to dance, play with her LOL dolls, and watch Tik Tok videos. She loved unicorns. She was in first grade at Rocky River Elementary school. She enjoyed going to school and always said she wanted to be a teacher when she grew up. Miya was always smiling and friendly to everyone she met. She was cherished and loved by her family and will be deeply missed.
Miya was preceded in death by a special cousin, Jaxon Ryder. They are now playing together in heaven.
She is survived by her grandmother, Melissa Mazza; her Pop-Pop, Jim Mazza; mother, Megan Wilson; father Devontrae McPherson; sister, Imani Arabella; aunts, Kristen Wilson, Jessie Senee, Taylor Carlton, Maria Espinoza and Candice McPherson; uncles, Aaron Wilson, Davey Wilson and Jimmy Mazza; her cousins, whom she adored, Bailey, Melody, Braylen, Madyson, and Gannon; and very special friends, Ric, Sarah and Arman.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home & Crematory.
