Patricia Ann Duckworth, 75, of Kannapolis, N.C., passed away on August 17, 2021. She was born on February 18, 1946, in Mooresville, N.C., to the late Helen Martin Benfield.

Patricia enjoyed growing flowers and watching hummingbirds. She was always a hard worker. She enjoyed doing puzzles and reading her Bible. Her grandchildren were very special to her, and she always loved the time she was able to spend with them.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by a son; Richard Anslo Coggins; sisters, Shelby Hewell and Brenda Nichols; and brother, Donnie Honeycutt.

She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Morrison; son, Lewis Coggins; grandchildren, Holly Mayhorn, Shannon Plyler, and Matthew, Sarah, Cassidy and Courtney Coggins; and four great-grandchildren. Gage and Felicity were the apples of her eye. She is also survived by special nephews, Max and Andrew Hewell; and sisters, Kathy Brown and Linda Plyler.

A Funeral Service will held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 20, 2021, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Stephen Stout officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Glenwood Memorial Park, Mooresville, N.C.
