Patricia “Patsy” Lisenby Farmer, 73, of Troutman, N.C. and formerly of Mooresville, N.C., peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 27, 2021, at Iredell Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 15, 1948, in Greenville, S.C., daughter of the late Rev. William T. Lisenby and Venice Lisenby.
Outgoing by nature, Patsy never met a stranger. She absolutely loved everyone that she met. She relished time spent with family, friends and her grand dogs.
Patsy is a 1979 alumna of the School of Nursing at UNC Charlotte. She was a member of the first graduating class of the Pathways RN to BSN program in the School of Nursing. Patsy enjoyed her experience at UNCC, studying diligently and completing her degree with highest honors.
Patsy believed in the importance and power of education, experiencing firsthand the enormous impact on one’s goals and life’s path. Most important to her was her family, and she will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Barry D. Farmer; brother, William Gardner “Billy” Lisenby Sr.; and nephew, William Gardner “Billy” Lisenby Jr.
Patsy is survived by her daughter, Julie (Tim) McCloskey; grandson, Jonathan (Chelsea) Turner; granddaughter, Colby (Kayla) Turner; great granddaughter, Makayla Turner; sister, Lynn Chrapek; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, their families, as well as many special friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home & Crematory, Mooresville, N.C. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home & Crematory, Mooresville, N.C. Burial will be private.
