Pearl “Jean” Maye Good, 81, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at her home. She was born on August 5, 1940, in Bristol, Va., to the late Ernest Maye and Leslie Pearl McGaughlin Maye.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Good, and a sister, Rita Foster.
Jean was a selfless lady. She loved her family, her church, and her Lord. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Mooresville. She was a caretaker for many families before her retirement.
Jean is survived by her children, Sandy Phillips, Robin Rothbauer (Neil), Wesley Hopkins (Elizabeth), and Nicky Hopkins; siblings, William Maye (Barbara) and Shirley Huffine (Jerry); 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, November 21, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. with Rev. Eddie Graham officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
