Teresa Ann Thorneburg Sigmon, 62, of Statesville, N.C., entered into eternal rest Sunday, November 7, 2021, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Born in Catawba County on January 17, 1959, she was the daughter of Billy James Thorneburg and the late Juanita Pearl Huffman.

She worked in retail, most recently at Dollar Tree. Teresa enjoyed reading and writing poetry. Her faith was strong in the Lord, and she loved to sing songs that expressed her relationship with Christ. Everyone that knew Teresa will always say she never met a stranger. She was a happy, spirited lady that will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish her memory are her father, Billy; her son, who was her pride and joy, Rodney Eric Sigmon; two brothers, Billy (Denisa) Thorneburg and Terry Thorneburg; two sisters, Tammy (Mike) Lee and Kay (Woody) Hooks; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, November 14, 2021, at 3 p.m. at Statesville Full Gospel Tabernacle – THE WAVE with Pastor Max Hayes and Pastor Tammy James officiating. A graveside service will follow in the church cemetery.
