Timothy Roy Hallman, 68, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at his home.
Tim was born November 5, 1952, in Lincolnton, N.C., and was the son of the late Roy Benjamin Hallman and Evelyn Virginia Korn Hallman Ingram. He was a 1970 graduate of South Iredell High School and was a retired postal carrier in Claremont, N.C. On February 14, 1992, he was married to Sue “Susie” Sipes Hallman, who survives. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, playing guitar with his friends and being with his Claremont Café breakfast club. He was working part time at the I-40 Express and he had worked on the Friday before his death.
In addition to his wife, Tim is survived by a daughter, Jodie Hallman LaFollette (Travis) of Locust, N.C.; two sisters, Beth Hallman of Catawba, N.C., and Debbie Hallman Pierce (Steve) of Troutman, N.C.; half-brother, Ronnie Ingram of Newton, N.C.; and two brothers-in-law, Walter Sipes of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., and Foy Sipes (Sandy) of Catawba, N.C. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ron Setzer officiating. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Troutman Funeral Home.
