Wilma Hope Hegler Price, 73, of Mooresville, N.C, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021, after a 20-year fight with cancer.

Wilma was born on May 15, 1948, in Charlotte, N.C., and was the daughter of the late Earnest Lee Hegler and Angie Hegler.

She was a member at Rocky Mt. UMC. She was the owner and operator of J&W Lake Services, Lake Norman Sanitation Service, Shear Magic Beauty Salon and Tiny Bubbles Launderette.

In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Lee Price, and seven siblings

Wilma is survived by her son, Stewart Holland (Amanda); daughter, PJ Bass (fiancé Jeff Harward); step-son, Eddie Price (Evelyn); step-daughters, Cindy Beaver (Kenny) and Donna Bumgarner (David); fourteen grand children and six great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 2, at Troutman Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, at Rocky Mount UMC and viewing will be available 30 minutes prior. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Jamie Hamrick officiating. The family asks that you please dress casually, according to the heat of the day.
