Bertram Randolph “Randy” Borders, 62, of 305 Deaton Street, Statesville, N.C., passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. He was the son of Blanche Ikard Borders and the late James Franklin Borders.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Janice Ikard and Rebecca Ikard; and three brothers, Hank Ikard, Pete Ikard, and Charles Ikard.

Randy leaves to cherish the memories of his life, in addition to his mother, Blanche Ikard Borders; his sister, Jennie Ikard Keaton of Statesville; a host of nieces and nephews including, Jania Ikard of Charlotte; a special friend and caregiver, Carol Linney; and cousins, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary with Elder Brian Caines officiating. Members of the family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 until 2 p.m. but will assemble at the residence at other times.
