Betty Reinhardt Pope, 91, of Statesville, N.C., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 16, 2022. She was born in Catawba County, N.C., on August 6, 1930, to the late Belton Reinhardt and Minnie Smith Reinhardt.

Betty was reunited with her husband, Coite Lee Pope; and her son, Ashley Coite Pope; who preceded her in death, along with a brother, James Duley Reinhardt; and two sisters, Dorothy “Sis” Martin and Goldie Ellis.

Betty was a graduate of Banoak High School in Vale, N.C., retired from Hunt Manufacturing, and was a member of New Bethany Baptist Church. She loved sewing, crafting, drawing, writing poems, painting gnomes, and flower and vegetable gardening.

Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter-in-law, Melinda Keller Pope; two sisters, Arie Taylor and Faye Sain; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Cecissy.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Sharon Lutheran Church Cemetery with Pastor Bill Mason officiating.
