Celeste Belk Neel, 82, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House. She was born April 7, 1940, in Mooresville to the late Mouzon and Alma Brawley Belk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Howard Neel; sister, Patty Carriker; and brother, Mouzon “Zonnie” Belk.

Celeste was an Office Manager at Dowell and Company. She also worked for Don Allen Surveying Inc., and General Time. Celeste was a lifelong member of Vanderburg United Methodist Church.

She is survived by daughters, Susan Neel McCarter (Dean) and Daphne Neel (Andy Clyde); sister-in-law, Martha Ann Mackey; grandson, Patrick McCarter; and great-granddaughter, Paisley McCarter.

A Graveside Service will be held at Vanderburg United Methodist Church Cemetery on Sunday, November 6, at 3 p.m. with Pastor Melaine Nichols officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be prior to the service from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House, 1325 Mecklenburg Hwy., Mooresville, NC 28115.
