Cheryl Taylor Rogerson, 63, of Olin, N.C., passed away on February 19, 2022, at CMC in Mecklenburg County, N.C.
Chickie, as she was so lovingly known as, was born on April 4, 1958, in Elkins, W.Va. She was the daughter of the late Edward Eugene Taylor and Phyllis Maxine Barkley Houston. In addition to her parents, Chickie was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Campbell; and her sister, Karen Shelton
Chickie attended Mitchell Community College. She later chose a career in the textile industry and worked for Badger Industries.
Chickie leaves behind to cherish her memory her life partner, Donna Campbell of Olin, N.C.; four sons, Richard Christopher (Mona) of Jacksonville, N.C., Jesse Christopher (Carmen) of Carolina Beach, N.C., Brandon Christopher (Rachel) of Puyallup, Wash., and Matthew Riter (Amanda) of Cleveland, N.C.; a daughter, Amanda Rogerson of Statesville, N.C., a brother, Edward Taylor (Cynthia) of Statesville, N.C.; four sisters, Barbara Rosenkranz (Chris) of Sherrills Ford, N.C., Lisa Wood (Rick) of Granite Falls, N.C., Nikki Bustle (Jimmy) of Statesville, N.C., and Mary Brooks (Gary) of Annandale, Va.; and eight grandchildren who will all miss her greatly.

I am so sorry for everyone’s loss. Cheryl was a tough cookie. God granted her along side with the Drs. More time to spend with her family and friends. She will surely be missed.
