Christopher Wayne Stroud, 38, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
Chris was born April 18, 1983, and that day it snowed all day. He worked as a skilled welder until his help was needed in the family business, The Popgun Factory. Chris is survived by his parents, Wayne and Jane Stroud; his sister, Carrie Reavis and husband David; and nieces, Courtney and Cameryn.
He was Methodist and knew God as the Good Lord. Chris loved his family and friends, and his laugh would make you happy. Chris loved to fish. If you knew Chris, you know his nickname was “Catfish” because he caught a 14-pound catfish in his family pond at the age of eight. Take the time to take someone you love fishing in memory of Catfish. The Stroud family loves all of you.
A private service will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.troutmanfuneralhome.com.
