Donna Rae Aldi, 75, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 14, 1946, in Amsterdam, N.Y., to the late Raymond and Dorothy Gros Dievendorf.

She attended Fort Plain High School in Fort Plain, N.Y., and went on to nursing school, where she received her degree in nursing from Albany Medical College. She was a longtime member of the Fort Plain Elks Lodge BPOE #2621, where she once held the position as an Inner Guard. She grew up in Nelliston, N.Y., and moved to Mooresville in 2005. Donna enjoyed volunteering at the Charles Mack Citizen Center, where she offered blood pressure clinics to the community. She was a loving mother, nana and friend, as well as a “die hard Yankee fan!”

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Kristin Vogel and husband Greg; granddaughter, Alexis Vogel; and her beloved grand-dog, Ellie.

A Celebration of Donna’s life will be held on Monday, April 18, at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Visitation for family and friends will be prior to the service from 5 to 7 p.m.
