Mrs. Dorothy Mae Clark Mintz, 79, was born in Iredell County, N.C., on October 14, 1942, to the late James Arthur Clark Sr. and Ida Mae Connor Clark. She entered into eternal life on Monday, October 3, 2022, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C.

Dorothy was a graduate of Unity High School, and attended Logan Presbyterian Church, where she was President of the Chance Choir, Progressive Women, and she was an Elder on the Kitchen Committee. She worked at Beauty Maid Mills in the sewing department, and also she worked at Hunt Manufacturing Company.

Dorothy was preceded in death by, in addition to her late parents, James Arthur Clark Sr. and Ida Mae Connor Clark, her brothers, Thomas Clark, Jimmy Clark, Wesley Clark, William Clark, and Baby Brother Clark; sisters, Henrietta Alexander, Queen Elizabeth Turner, Cora Mayberry, Frances Conner, and Mamie Connor, and nephews, Dennis Clark and Keith Clark.

She is survived by one son, Dwight Clark; one daughter, Tonya Clark; grandchildren, Tyris Mintz, (Martavin) LeTronda Summers, LaKeitha Mintz, and KeAndre Mintz; great grandchildren, Ah’Morah Summers, August Summers, A’Dynn Clark, Tywan Pete, Aziah Myers, Kyris Mintz, Malik Meyers, London Glover, Landan Glover, Major Martin, Kaison Patterson, Kalani Mintz, Sebastian Walkins, and Nolan Redmon; in-laws, (special friend) Martha Clark, Charlie Alexander, William Frost Mary Francis Jones, Joyce Evans, Gene Mintz and Harold Mintz (Eunice); and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Logan Presbyterian Church, Statesville, N.C., at 2 p.m. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Reverend Ziglar will be doing the eulogy and burial will follow in the Logan Presbyterian Cemetery.
