Dorothy Ann Roland Evans, 82, of Harmony, N.C., died Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C.

She was born in Ashe County on February 22, 1040, to the late Orne Roland and Pearl McCoy Roland. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Rex, Jr., Jimmy, Ricky and Thomas.

Dorothy was a woman of faith and loved her Lord. She enjoyed feeding her hummingbirds, crocheting, coloring, flower gardening, art, and taking care of and feeding the stray animals. Dorothy loved her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Sherry Combs (Ralph); two sons, Richard Witherspoon, and David Wise (Dorothy); three grandchildren, Amanda Combs (Andy Davis), Amy Yelton (Alan), and Clint Witherspoon; two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Tre Stewart; two brothers, Robert and Billy; and six sisters, Lessie, Betty, Irene, Ida, Geraldine and Rosy.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Living Word Ministries with Pastor James Lewis officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service.
