Edgar Lloyd Moore, 77, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on November 24, 2022. He was born on January 5, 1945 in Mooresville to the late Wesley and Beulah Stafford Moore.

Edgar was a member of Rocky Mount Church in Mooresville. He was a big sports enthusiast with his favorite teams being the New Orleans Saints and the Houston Astros. He also enjoyed fishing and bowling, and he was a champion bowler in Mooresville. He spent his career in advertising. In his retirement years, Edgar was well known in the community for delivering flowers for Clippers Florist. He was loved by his family and will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Edgar was preceded in death by brothers, Ronald, Harold and Billy Moore; and sister, Julia Dowling.

He is survived by his nephews, Jeff Sherrill (Denise) and Mitchell Moore; sisters, Dorothy Sherrill and Carolyn Lowrance; brothers, John and Mel Moore; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Karen and Scott Glover.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Rocky Mount Church, Mooresville, N.C. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery with Pastor Jamie Hamrick officiating.
