Edward McClough, 77, of Hickory, N.C., passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the home of his daughter. Born on November 12, 1945, in Catawba County, N.C., he was the son of the late James McClough and Rosa Finger.

Ed loved racing, especially drag racing, and he enjoyed bowling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Calvin McClough and Junior McClough.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Pamela McClough, Carol McClough, Darryl McClough, Christy Moore Steele (Mark), Nathan Moore (Shandel), and Adam Barger; grandchildren, Ronnie Green Jr., Damien Wright, Javier Turner, Sha’Corey Steele, and Kara Moore; sister, Rosie McClough; brothers, Steve McClough, Tommy McClough, Frank McClough, Charles McClough, and Harvey Lee McClough; and special nephew, Randy McClough.

For those who wish to visit, the family will be receiving friends at the home of his daughter, Christy Steele.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
