Elizabeth Goodson Brooks, 83, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at S. Mitchell Hospice House in Mooresville.

She was born on June 4, 1939, in Concord, N.C., to the late Otis and Jessie Duckworth Goodson. Mrs. Brooks was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church in Mt. Mourne.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Carson Brooks; brothers, Winston, Harvey, and John Goodson; sisters, Laura Dishman and Delores Kiser; grandson, Travis Tarlton; and step grandson, John Corum.

She is survived by her children, Michael Brooks, Christopher Brooks, and Lisa Corum (Darrell); favorite granddaughter, Jennifer Tarlton; step grandsons, Jeffrey Corum (Tabitha) and Christopher Corum (Suzanne); five step great grandchildren; one step great great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 29, from 1 to 2 p.m. with a service following at 2 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow the service at Faith Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
