Gloria Jean Templeton Redmond, 77, of Statesville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 5, 2022. She was born February 8, 1944, in Iredell County to the late Robert Buel Templeton Sr. and Flossie Abernathy Templeton. She was a graduate of Troutman High School and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by three daughters, Michelle R. Estes (William), Crystal R. Moore (Jeff), and Angelia R. Goodin (Jason); six grandchildren, James Estes, Wade Estes, Jacob Moore, Emily Moore, Alex Roten, and Ethan Mash; eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert B. Templeton Jr. (Brenda) and Thomas Templeton Sr. (Bonnie); and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Tolethia T. Stallings.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Iredell Memorial Gardens with Reverend Brandon Gwaltney officiating. The family will speak with friends following the services. Serving as active pallbearers will be Wade Estes, Jamie Estes, Ethan Mash, Tommy Templeton Jr, William Estes, and Jacob Moore. Brothers, Robert and Thomas Templeton will serve as honorary pallbearers.
