Grant Charles Williams Sr., 87, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. He was born on August 6, 1935, in Vienna, Ohio, to the late Robert and Pearl Walls Williams.

He loved horses and raised Paint and Quarter horses. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Billie Callahan Williams; and siblings, Robert Williams, Dick Williams, Betty Williams Girard.

He is survived by his children, Audrey Jean Brewster, Grant C. Williams Jr. (Kim), Jack E. Williams (Amy), Richard T. Williams (Doug), W. Scott Williams (Vicki), and Lynn R. Carlson (Chad); 17 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022, at the chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Rev. Tom McCrea officiating. Burial will follow the service at Triplett United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
