Harry Weaver, 85, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on June 9, 2022, at Gordon Hospice House. Harry was born on February 26, 1937, to Harrison Weaver and Eva Parkinson of Poke County, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison and Eva; and brother, John Hum.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 43 years, Shirley Weaver; daughter, Ruth Ann Freeman (Ronnie); son, Harry Lee Weaver; daughter, Ginger Mason (Keith); son, Pat Lewis (Stacy); grandchildren, Matt Freeman (Carissa), Nicholas Freeman (Renee), Jonathan Freeman, Audrey Freeman, Rachel Wilkinson (Nate), Dillon Mason, and Peyton Lewis; great-grandchildren, Cody, Ryah, Elijah, Ava, and Samuel Freeman, and Sadie, Audrey, and Ellie Wilkinson.
Harry loved fishing and spending time at the coast. He was an avid collector of antiques and loved attending auctions. He had a love for his children and grandchildren as well as rescuing stray cats. He had a big heart.
Services will be held at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 15. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 noon with funeral service at 12 noon. Burial will follow at Fifth Creek Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, the Weaver family has asked that donations be made to Paws and Claws Feline Rescue.
