Jimmy Neil Gregory, 75, of Stony Point, N.C., passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville, N.C.
Jimmy was born January 25, 1946, in Iredell County and was the son of the late Arthur Glenn Gregory and Dela Goble Gregory. He was a graduate of Celeste Henkle High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was married to Mary Faye Hammer Gregory, who survives. Together they were members of Beulah Baptist Church, and he was the owner of Gregory’s Photography.
In addition to his wife, Jimmy is survived by three sisters, Marie G. Houston of Statesville, Shirley G. Shaver of Statesville, and Wanda G. Potts of Statesville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Billy Ray Gregory, Espy Paul Gregory, and Glenn Arthur Gregory; and three sisters, Jean G. Parker, Margaret G. Ashley and Betty G. Lippard.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 28, 2022, at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Burgess officiating. Burial will follow in the Temple Baptist Church Cemetery in Stony Point with Rev. Bill Mason officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.

I have enjoyed years of working side by side with Jimmy. He always brought a smile to my face. His faith always shined on his face. Jimmy did our wedding and was always a gentleman. Faye: I love you both and I pray for peace and comfort during this time.
